Your website doesn’t match who you are now
Has your website fallen to the bottom of your to-do list?
You’ve evolved. Your work has gotten sharper, deeper, and more refined. But your website still reflects an earlier version of you. Maybe your messaging hasn’t caught up, or your branding still says DIY when your work is anything but.
That disconnect is costing you more than you realize.
Instead of attracting the right clients and selling your services with confidence, you might find yourself:
Second-guessing your positioning
Hesitating when someone asks to see your site
Undercharging, because your brand doesn’t back up the results you deliver
The Expensive Disconnect
For most people, their website is either built too early or ignored for too long. It gets created at one stage of your business, then quietly becomes outdated as your work evolves.
On top of that, most designers don’t handle messaging. They design the visuals, but leave the copy up to you. And you’ve never pretended to be a copywriter.
So you’re left trying to distill years of experience and nuance into a few neat paragraphs. With no strategy. No outside perspective. And no real way to capture the level you’re operating at now.
That’s when the site stalls, or launches but never really works.
What’s Possible
When your branding is as elevated as your expertise:
You stop cringing when people ask for your website
You raise your prices because your brand finally matches what you deliver
The right clients start reaching out on their own
Sales calls feel easier because prospects already get your value
Your website starts doing the heavy lifting, instead of being something you apologize for
Where I Come In
I start every project with a 90-minute Branding Roadmap where we get clear on how to position you as the expert you already are. Then I write the copy and design the website in tandem, so the words and visuals work together from the start.
Copywriting is included in every branding package. And the whole thing comes together in just a couple of weeks, so you can start attracting more of the right clients, sooner.
Ready for a website that actually reflects where you are now? I’d love to chat about it.

Goodies Just For You
WHAT I’M THINKING ABOUT: Widow’s Bay is an Apple TV horror comedy starring Matthew Rhys (who I’d want as one of my boyfriends if I didn’t also want to be best friends with his real life girlfriend, Keri Russell). It has a delightfully weird, funny tone. Very funny. I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
WHAT I’M MAKING: Tonight I’m hosting a casual little happy hour get-together for the moms from my son’s kindergarten class. The only thing I’m preparing, besides putting cheese and crackers on a plate and wine in an ice bucket, is Alison Roman’s Labne with Sizzled Scallions & Chile aka “The Dip.” I’m serving it with sliced veggies. Easy and delicious.
WHO I’M ADMIRING:Amy Yamada is working on something that really seems ahead of the curve. She’s helping established experts structure their content and expertise for AI machine legibility and discoverability. So if you have a lot of thought leadership on the interwebs — a podcast, blog, articles — you should check her out. She’s also an absolute delight to chat with.
